Attorney at Law with specialization in Business Law, with studies in Civil Procedure from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. Mr. Jacobo has specialized in matters related to Law No. 189-11, on the development of the mortgage market, the trust and its regulations, as well as in the area of corporate taxation, labor law, family law and administrative law.
During his career, he has worked for the Attorney General’s Office of the Dominican Republic (PGR), as Responsible for the Follow-up of International Conventions Against Corruption, representing the Dominican State before various international organizations and as a category I lawyer.
In private practice, he has experience in the areas of civil procedure, administrative law, corporate law, contracts, energy, telecommunications and foreign investment. Lawyer, advisor and legal analyst in the sectors of energy, gas, water, environment, foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions, tourism and telecommunications.
He has consulted on electricity legislation; advised on the construction and installation of renewable energy projects for U.S. and European companies; consulted on arbitration; and represented certain regulatory bodies in the Dominican Republic.
